Devotionals and faith-based nonfiction
Practical, Scripture-rooted books that help readers grow in faith and carry truth into everyday life.

For Christian writers
Your book may begin with a burden on your heart, a testimony you need to tell, or a message you hope will meet someone at exactly the right moment. Creative Books Plus Publishing welcomes faith-led authors ready to share that work with care.
Start Your Submission →A publishing partner who listens
Finding a Christian publisher can feel personal because your book is personal. You are not simply looking for a place to upload a file. You are looking for a publishing relationship that respects the calling behind the work, treats your voice with care, and helps place a finished book in readers’ hands.
Creative Books Plus Publishing is a faith-led independent publisher for authors with books that encourage, uplift, and honor God. We welcome inquiries from writers whose work aligns with that mission, and we prayerfully review each one. A first inquiry is simply a chance to tell us what you have written, who you hope to reach, and why the message matters.
Books we consider
The strongest submissions begin with a clear message and a reader in mind. These are the kinds of books that fit our publishing mission.
Practical, Scripture-rooted books that help readers grow in faith and carry truth into everyday life.
Honest stories of life, faith, healing, and hope that can remind someone else they are not walking alone.
Guided spaces for prayer, Scripture, reflection, gratitude, and the quiet work of paying attention to God’s faithfulness.
Fiction and nonfiction with an encouraging heart, created for readers who want stories and resources they can share with confidence.
Before you submit
You do not need to have every detail settled before you reach out. You do need to be ready to describe the book clearly and honestly. A good first submission helps us understand what you are creating, why it belongs in the world, and whom it may serve.
Start with a working title, even if it may change later. Then name the central message, the reader you hope to encourage, and the season or need the book speaks into. A devotional might help a reader return to Scripture. A testimony might offer courage to someone facing a similar road. A journal might make space for prayer when life feels too full to slow down. Specificity gives your book its shape.
A helpful way to prepare
A strong submission does not need to sound finished before the book is finished. It does need to communicate a clear promise to a real person. Think about the reader who would feel seen by this work. What may be happening in that person’s life when they open the first page? What encouragement, clarity, companionship, or space for reflection are they looking for? Naming that reader does not make the message smaller. It gives the message somewhere to land.
It also helps to explain what makes your book yours to write. That may be a lived testimony, years spent serving a community, a devotional practice, a story your family needs to hear, or a question God has kept bringing back to your heart. You do not have to make your story more dramatic than it is. A sincere, well-shaped book can offer a reader a quiet word of hope at exactly the right time.
Before submitting, read your description once as if you were the reader. Can you tell what kind of book it is, who it is for, and why it matters? If the answer is not clear yet, that is not a reason to stop. It is an invitation to keep shaping the idea. Clarity at this stage makes the next conversation more useful for everyone.
What matters to us
A book has to be prepared with care before it can do its work in a reader’s life. When a project aligns with our mission, our role is to help move it toward a professional, finished form. That includes editing, formatting, design, publication, and a path toward distribution, all handled with clear communication and realistic expectations.
We also believe authors should understand the agreement around their work. Authors retain full copyright. Our standard arrangement gives authors 80% royalties, includes quarterly royalty reporting, and uses a two-year term with renewal and reversion clauses. Those details matter because trust is not an extra in publishing. It is part of the foundation.
Every book follows its own path, and no responsible publisher can promise sales or bestseller status. What we can offer is honest guidance, professional preparation, ethical marketing guidance, and practical launch support, without asking you to build your hopes on a promise no one can keep.
Your next step
Share your working title, the message at the center of the book, and the readers you hope it will encourage.
We prayerfully consider whether the project aligns with the mission and the kind of work we are prepared to publish.
If the work aligns, the next conversation can outline a thoughtful path from message to finished book.
